Peter Miller trained as a classical musician, leaving college to found The Brighton Bottle Orchestra in the early eighties. The orchestra have performed all over the world, making dozens of TV appearances and earning a place in the Guinness Book of Records. Ian Porter began as a musician with Birds With Ears and went on to perform and record with artists such as Manfred Mann, Robin 'M' Scott, Fischer Z and Moloko. He also performed with the internationally acclaimed percussion extravaganza Stomp. Together, Mr Miller & Mr Porter have been composing for tv and film since 1987. Beginning in Children's TV they produced the music for some of the most popular programmes on the network including the BAFTA award-winning series Art Attack and What's up Doc? Since then they have branched out into drama, documentary and commercials. By contrast, Ian and Peter also produced the sound installation for Mark Power's award-winning photographic exhibition The Shipping Forecast. s. |
